Because of its unique and also cosmopolitan identity, as well as the fact of being a city looking to itself as an amphitheater mixing different building styles, in 2003 UNESCO declared Valparaiso World Heritage Site. Looking at its environment and its port condition Valparaiso exemplifies the importance and influence of these conditions over the architecture and development of a city. The rescue of its architectural and cultural heritage pursued in these past years has caused the constant increase in the number of Chilean and foreign tourists visiting Valparaiso. Its hills, streets, sightseeing places and public elevators transform Valparaiso in a city calling you to walk it, discover it, shooting your best pictures letting yourself floating around.
